Hi Cindy,
I thought you might like to know that William was neutered last week. He got along fine. He is becoming such a good dog. He listens well and is very friendly with folks that come in and out of our office. He has a good time at puppy class. He seems to look forward to seeing the other puppies. However, I have to admit he is the biggest puppy there. This will be his last Saturday in the beginner’s class. The next one starts November 15, but with the holidays coming up, I think I need to wait until January so that we are able to attend all the classes. He weighed in at 36 lbs at the Vet's last week. He had a play date with a 2 year old Standard Poodle who belongs to a friend of mine. He seemed to enjoy that. The cats are getting used to him. He was sitting in our sunroom this morning on his pillow chewing a chew toy and the male cat was sitting in the chair closest to him. The girls are not crazy about him yet. He is too pushy for them, but they will stay in the same room with him if they are up where he can't get to them. He has had a full grooming and is scheduled for another one on Nov 17th. Wow what a difference when we got all that fuzz off of him. He is beautiful.

Cindy,
William is wonderful. I love him to pieces. I am so glad I purchased him. Hard to think of it that way. I feel I adopted him. He goes with me to work every day. He loves the UPS man. I make him get under my desk until he gets in with his packages and then he gets to socialize with him for a few minutes. He loves the treats at the bank drive in window. He has learned to sit up nice and tall so they are sure to see him. He understands so many words and responds well to commands. I have a friend who has a black Standard female who is 2 years older than William. They are best friends. When I drive up in her driveway, he can hardly wait to get out of the car. When we leave he whines all the way home. My friend has been a Godsend for me. My husband had to have back surgery, and soon after that surgery, he ruptured his Achilles tendon and she has kept William for me while Jimmy was in the hospital. It is nice that he has a place to stay that he enjoys when I have to leave him. The hardest thing I think was potty training because I had never done it before. It took a little time and patience. He learned to ring a bell hanging on the door knob to go out, and once he got it, he had it. He was very sad when he had an accident. If the car moves, he thinks he is supposed to be in it. He responds well to the word kennel. He will go get in and wait for a treat. He seems to know when he is going to have to go to the kennel because of the change in my routine. Like on Sunday Mornings when I take him out I am usually dressed for church and he pretty much gets in his kennel when we get in without having to be told. He gets along well with the cats. He will go up and put his nose on them and they have learned not to be afraid of him. Our Vet and our groomer both think he is a very good dog. They have both mentioned how nice and big his bones are and that he does not have a mean thought in his head. Needless to say he is spoiled rotten. Jimmy was not all that keen on my getting a dog, but he has even come around. However, William knows he is my dog and forgets Jimmy is in the room if I am there. As big as he is, he is a lap dog. He sleeps on our bed a night and wants to be as close to me as he can. It is nice when the weather is cold, but a little warm in the summer time. I will try to get some pictures sent to you soon. William is a love, and I would hate to get along without him. If something happened to William, I would be at your doorstep wanting another Standard Poodle.
