Sire-Gunsmoke       Dam-Noel

8-2009

Hi to all of you from Rena and John sproston,

Hope you remember us. We adopted Dixie, whose father is Gunsmoke and her mom is Noel. We're from Wake Forest. You referred to Dixie as "the little red one."

Anyway, Dixie is a free spirit and a very happy and energetic puppy! Right now she is 47 lbs and 24 inches high at 6 months. Dixie loves to scamper around and play with Harleigh, our 7 yr. old blue standard.

We are trying to guess what size Dixie will be when she is full grown, so we thought that we would ask you the height and weight of Gunsmoke and Noel.

Do you know whether their original lines were American or European? How can we find out about Gunsmoke and Noel's family history?

Thank you for such a loving and affectionate puppy! We hope that you and all your animals are doing well.

Rena, John, Dixie, and Harleigh

Dear Wendy, Holley, Cindy

Thanks so much for letting us know about Dixie's sister.  Dixie's hair is filling out nicely.  She wasn't groomed in the last photos we sent, but we will send you some new ones for your website.  Please feel free to use us as a reference. We think that your farm is an ideal place for raising dogs and that you take great care with your pups.

Dixie is the happiest puppy we've ever had! She finds joy in every little thing.   We knew that she would be a good companion for our 7 year old, who is a little bit more laid back than Dixie.  She is very bright, listens well,  and is a good example of the high intelligence of poodles.  She awakens me each morning with a nice sloppy kiss!

Dixie can almost catch up to Harley on their runs through the woods and around our property.  He has been a good role model for her, so now we have 2 superb watchdogs, although I don't think either of them would hurt a fly.   She likes to fetch balls but doesn't seem to like the frisbees.

We've had an ID chip put in when she was spayed.

We 'll be starting agility training soon and will let you know how that goes.  Keep us informed about Dixie's sister.  Perhaps you can give our email address to her owner so that we can exchange stories about our new little girls.  One day we'll give you a call to plan a visit Family Affair Standards again.
